Contemporary Living Room Shelving & Storage Solution
I frequently work with my clients on bespoke carpentry solutions for their home. Often I work with homeowners to create a concept and produce drawings for them to use with their own carpenter, which is the case with the example shown here on the blog today. In other instances I work to create a concept, produce the drawings, then liaise with my local team to build and install the piece in to a clients home, this could be in the form of say a media wall or home office. The below is a simple yet effective storage solution for my clients living room wall. Previously there was no shape or character to the wall and my client loathed the modern gas fire which was the only present feature. I looked to create fluidity through the use of curves which can be seen through the wrap around shelving which my client requested for her many house plants. The fire now seems balanced and purposefully flanked by the shelving either side. The TV is neatly housed on to a swivel bracket with wires concealed behind the mdf panel and media boxes stored away in the wall hung unit beneath. The storage units are wall hung for a contemporary look, ensuring floor space is kept open and the units do not appear bulky. A simple yet stylish solution ticking all aspects of my clients brief and budget.
